The famous TV show The Simpsons have been telecast since 1989. One reason for the show’s popularity is that it is dynamic and offers something valuable to all types of viewers. The courtroom sketch artist in episode 12 of season 5 is Matt Groening himself. Being the creator of this series, he often gets the honor to show up in the show in different forms.

4) Real Worth of Maggie
The price of Maggie when she is scanned appears as $847.63 in the credits in the start of the show. It’s actually the mean cost of raising a kid in the USA on a monthly basis, based on the survey done in 1989.
5) Matt Groening’s Initials
Matt’s initials appear in the show in the form of the hairs and ears of homer. Very smart man!
6) Danny Elfman
From 1999 till 2009, the name Danny Elfman appears on a storefront to serve as a shoutout. Later on he left the team and his name was also cut out from the opening credits.
7) Homer was accused
Homer was wrongfully accused of harassing a girl by media in episode 9 of season 6. After the apology from the media, a news program in the series apologizes by running quick messages on the screen. One of them read, “If you are reading this you have no life.”
8) Frink Rules
In this episode, you can see Homer in a 3D world where he comes across a lot of Easter eggs. The hexadecimal numbers appearing in the 3D world mean “Frink Rules!”

For the opening of the HBO show, Groening & Co made certain Springfield gets the Westeros treatment.

Krusty and Homer resemble each other. If a wing and some make-up is put on Homer, he will look exactly like Krusty.
12) The Writers Are More Than Just Writers
In season 10, the last theorem by Fermat was disproved by Homer, which is proof that the writers of the show are good with math too as far as humor goes.
13) Recreating The Past
Here is an iconic moment from the past recreated in the show. Homer and some friends of him resemble The Beatles.

Many books were referenced in the show and one of them is Where’s Waldo. The interesting fact is Waldo showed up in the series many times. At times, he showed up in a crowd or passed by windows.
